I felt like I couldn’t take a breath without pain in my chest. I never could go back to sleep. I went ahead and went to work, feeling really bad. Once again that night I couldn’t sleep. The pain was unbearable. All I could do was bend at the waist and lean forward to catch my breath. I went to work on Tuesday for halfday until I started to feel really bad. When I went to doctor he started off by saying he was scheduling me for Gallblader surgery. But I told him that I wasn’t sick like that. He laughed and said that I was having an anxiety attack. I told him no, that it was similar to pain I had almost 10 years before in hospital with pneumonia Finally he listened to my chest and ordered EKG and chest xray. Well I had pericarditis Two days went by and I was in such exhaustion that I went back to doctor. He ordered a CT Scan..all clear. He sent me home again. Two more days and I was frightened how extreemly exhausted I was, so tired I couldn’t even think straight. I went to ER. They ran xray, labs, CAT scan of head, and many more tests. Got 2 bags of IVs, pain meds, and nausea meds. Then they said it was viral Pericarditis and sent me home. I was so weak I couldn’t even make it from my room to check out without stopping to rest. Now it’s two more days later. I’m still weak, and feel bad. Guess it all depends on how much insursance a person has if you get thrown back on street. I just want to feel better. I need to get back to work to pay all the doctors bills and tests! Comments
