To quickly access health information from your website's browser, download Don’t treat Chest Pain as a Gas Pocket My son 26 complained for 3 days with chest pain upper back and neck pain.I treated him for (gas)since the pain move to the back and neck, I brought Gas-X,Tums,7UP etc. pain never moved from those areas the pain worsen especially when he lie down but, when he sat up the pain eased up .On that 4th day he called me early in the morning saying Mother I have to see a Doctor today. I brought him to LSUMC of La.in New Orleans (ER) where he was taken quickly to the X-Ray room where an Ekg was taken. Later he was diagnosed with Pericarditis he was discharged the same day. His instructions was to buy over the counter Ibuprofen(600mg)take every 6 hours for 7 to 10 days as needed. His clinic appointment is set 20 days later for an heart condition. Comments
