My Ordeal

I am a 44 year old female who was having episodes of fainting monthy over a period of 6 months. I went to my doctor and she order a holter monitor. I experienced an episode while on the holter monitor, felt very tired after and having a short nap, woke up very confused. I went to emergency and they admitted me.The next day, they read the holter stream and out me on telemetry. It happened again on telemetry. The doctor finally came to see me and told me I was having ‘pauses’ up to 24 seconds and they were going to implant a pacemaker (Sinus Node Disease). I have had it in since Sept this year. I am still having the confusion but am told that I am fine. I’ve had CT scan, EEG, EKG I have an Echocardiogram scheduled for January and my cholesterol is slightly elevated. I expect that there is still something wrong…
