AFTER EFFECTS OF PACEMAKR SURGERY DUE TO MEDICINES

I had a surgery one week back and given the following medications with a severe depression problem and can’t sleep at night: These are:

Zoloft 50 mg in the morning
Trozadone 50 mg at night
Lisinopril 10 mg - morning
Lovastatin 40 mg at night
Glucovance 5/500 one daily
Sotalol 80 mg - twice daily
Protonix 40 mg daily
Levothyroxine .88 mg early morning
Warfarine 7.5 mg nighly
Aspirin 81 mg daily
Plavix 75 ml. daily

I have diabetes and had one bye-pass in 1997 but was absolutely normal with regular walking exercise for one hr. daily when the trouble started three weeks back - admitted to hosptial 2-3 times during the last five yrs.

After coming home, some of the medicines are playing havoc on my health. Terrible sweating - lost 10-12 pounds within he last 2 weeks weeks and I stopped Levothyroxine which made me so weak to walk and handle myself during the day.

Any advise as to what to do though I am going to see my pcp this morning.

I have picked up walking for about a mile for the last two days but moving andcan’t sleep at night (may be one or two winks for couple of hrs.) .

At 85 years old I found my heartbeat irregular and eventually it sometimes dropped to around forty beats a minute. The Dr proposed a pacemaker and I had it inserted last week. The result has been amazing. [more..]
