Essential Hypertension

Presently i am 57 having undergone bye pass surgery before 2 years. this is my story i wanted to share with the persons who r suffering or likely to be suffering .

At the age of 15-16 i had a problem of frequent urination. I had to go for urination every hour and could not resist the urge.
i was then in school after every period i use to run for urination. Further the frequency in night increased but there was never burning in urination.More over i had to brathe heavily after little hard work. This i had never pointed out to my parents nor they could notice due to shy nature.

later at the age of 25, in the year April 1977,while examining for other rheumatic symptoms it was detected that i had severe hypertension and it was 210/190 then.

i had been examined kidney and x rays revealed that they are hypoplastic . further investigations at Bombay Hospital were carried out such as Renal angiography, VMA test etc. and all other pathological tests revealed nothing since, except for Hypertension no other abnormalities found.

It was diagnosed as essential Hypertension. Since then i was on controlling treatment for management of hypertension.
I was weekly/fortnightly went to my physician had checked and got treatment regularly without fail till i got heart attack in Dec 2005 and later undergone byepass surgeory [bypass surgery].

I am working as electrical engineer, lead irregular life style since beginning had hazardous life.

anxiety, oversensitivity, fears, lack of confidence, inferiority complex were the psychological symptoms.( Now i understand these were due to hypertension only. As soon as it come to normal every psychological symptoms withdrew as as soon as B.P. shoots up rage , anxiety abusiveness , aggresiveness, initiative drive increases in short i was on nerves i.e. very very very sensitive). This has some time benefitted while taking up the project works but proved fatal for health in coming years. Any way this is not what i wanted to tell you.

I had also tried all alternative medicines including ayurveda/homeopathy/ flower remeady? japa/Yoga/ pranayam and what not? But never discontinued the Allopathic treatment.

Looking to the family hystory my father/ mother was a patient of high B.P but they got it at adult age i.e after 50 or so.
To surprise my elder brother who was elder to me by 3.years was detected as a patient of Hypertension in 1978 i. e at the age of 30 only. He underwent all investigations similarly me in Bombay Hospital and later stamped as essential hypertension. He was stron, atheletic built, player and champion for table tenis and badmington, won hundreds of prizes in open tournaments, prior to the detection.Unfortunately he got massive stroke in 1986 died later in 1999.

On the contrary i was light weight 48-52 till i got married in 1980 at the age of 29. later i gained weight. I am having 5′7″ height.
With the controlling i lead comparetively i lead a normal married life, (hav two sons) with the controlling treatment till i got attack.
STORY DOES NOT END HERE.

Now my elder sons grew 23, he is also detected of the ESSENTIAL HYPERTENSION. mY NEPHEW ALSO SAME. BOTH INVESTIGATED SIMILARLY NO ABNORMALITY FOUND.

I AM WORRIED THAT WEATHER MY FAMILY HAS A CURSE FOR HYPERTENSION.THE OTHER THING NOTICEABLE THAT IN FEMALES OF NEW GENERATION IN FAMILY NO SUCH SYMPTOMS SEEN.

Though can not conclude, i can say 1)the problem probably lies whn coming to puberty 2) oversensitiveness is our nature.3)The young generation is little fatt prone to obessity but not obese.

CAN ANY EXPERT GUIDE ON THE SITUATION TO PREVENT NEXT GENERATION FROM HAZARDS OF HYPERTENSION PLEASE.
