I have high bld pressure at the age of 23 y/o

I have been diganosed with high bld pressure back in may/june of this year. I feel perfectly fine, i was given medication for high bld pressure, and my pressure is still high. I also have a high insulin intake and i was given metformin. i’ve been taking metformin for a month now. i have noticed that i have petechia(red blister like)on my legs spreading over my body and fading. i have notified my mds and they have told me to continue the medications. I also looked up both medications and they do not go with one another. I am only 23 y/o and i feel perfectly fine. what should i do?
