Be persistant with more testing

Hi,
This story happened to me in the past month. i am a 29 year old male. I was experiencing on and off chest and left arm pain for a few months. I had gone to a cardiologist and he preformed an EKG and echocadiogram on me. Both came back negative. he tld me that the pain i was having is probably due to heartburn or a pulled muscle. about a month later i went into cardiac arrest. I was revived with a defibulator and was diagnosed with 2 blocked arteries in my heart. One was 100% blocked and one 90% blocked. an emergency double bypass surgery was peformed on me and i am currently recovering. However since i went into cardiac arrest, my heart was damaged greatly. I had no cholesterol, blood pressure, or anything else before this had happened. I am 5′9 and weigh 135 lbs. The doctors are stil trying to figure out why this happened. My question is, should the cardiologist have done further testing such as a stress test, since i was complaing about chest and arm pain?
