Continuous Chest Pains

by: Zai on Mon, Aug 06 2007

Hi, Im a 25 year old female. For the past year, every day, i have been living with a severe pain in my left lung. Last year i was diagnosed with Pluracy [pleurisy], a build up of fluids in my lung. I was on the most horrible treatment but sumhow managed to dry up the fluids.Recent xrays shows my lung as clear and normal again but the pain never went away. Its a continuous ache that often gets worse with breathing or slight strain.

I have just been living like that, my doctor says im fine…then why the pain?? Its become such a nuisance really that i went back and this time he insists on a lung scan which costs 4000 and guess what….no medical aid yet. Anyway, im working towards that, it seems only a scan will reveal what the pain is all about or maybe a 2nd opinion is in line. For a pulmonologist to tell you that you’re “fine” when you’re practically suffering your heart out daily is rather unusual wouldnt you agree? Well lets see what the scan says.Wish me luck!!
