heart flutters

For nearly 8 years I’ve been experiencing heart flutters with some pain. Sometimes stress will bring on the flutters and sometimes they just start out of nowhere. The flutters last for days and days. I went to a pediatric cardiologist a few months after I started experiencing my problem and all the doctor told me, after pushing on my chest and me saying it hurt was, I had costochodritis. After that no further testing was done, the doctor only told me to take 800 milligram Motrin everyday for the pain, he didn’t explain why I was having heart flutters, all I recall him saying was that I shouldn’t be experiencing any type of heart flutter until my 30s, whatever that means. Well, my heart flutters only got worse over time and so did the pain that came along with it; sometimes I had no pain when the flutters would start. Since November of 2009, the heart flutters have changed some, becoming less of a flutter and more of a hard tremor or shake. It literally feels as if it could shake out of my chest. It’s highly annoying and also it has really made me start to worry a lot more. I’ve also noticed that my heart rate sometimes is a little off, my heart races even when I’m just resting, sometimes I can see my heart pounding so hard, moving my shirt up and down, when I’m just lying down. This last time I had my flutters start they lasted nearly 2 weeks or so, for the past few days I haven’t had a single flutter, but I’m just waiting on them to start back up and wishing they wouldn’t.
