To quickly access health information from your website's browser, download Death from Angioplasty??? Ya, I just thought id share, in loving memory of my mom. Its a pretty short story, but one that should be heard, and learned from. So, my mom, 57, had some minor blockage as i think all of us might later on in life. Anyway she was put on Plavix, which is a blood thinner. Anyway she was having chest pains one day, so my brother and i took her to the hospitel. They took x rtays, and couldnt see where the blockage was, if there even was any, so they prepped for an angioplasty. To my knowlege an angioplastyy is where they inject a dye, into the femoral artery, to make the blockage more visible in an x ray. So there it is. What happened is when the dr was injecting the dye, into her femoral artery, he went thru-and thru the femoral artery, and then went back in , and injected the dye. So it was like, oh did i get the artery? Well, i dunno, so he pulls out, and goes in for another shot. Innocent enough, so it seems, the problem is though, mom was on plkavix, which thins the blood, and now she had 3 holed in her femoral artery, sh she bled out. Tragic. Sad. And well, sad. I miss you mom. I love you, and think of you often. Hope all is well in heaven. Iloveyoumom. FYI, she died on 4-1-2006. April fools’ day. No joke. So to all who read this. Do me a huge favor in memory of Kim…………. Love your mother. Send her flowers on a random day. Call her and just tell her you love her. While you have the opportunity. Loveyourmother. Peace, Christopher December 2008
